For the first time, the AI Expo included an exhibition area featuring the latest achievements in developing and applying AI technology in life science, intellectual property protection, manufacturing and other fields under cooperation between Chinese and Singaporean partners.

AiTreat (Suzhou), a company introduced into SIP through the A*STAR Partners’ Centre (A*PC), the first overseas branch of the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), showcased Emma, a robot which relies on a sturdy metal arm and silicon “thumb” to perform traditional Chinese medicine massages.

“Integrating 3D vision and multiple high-precision sensors, EMMA can generate real-time 3D atlas of human anatomy and perceive the muscle tension on the back. The bionic design, flexible strength control and real-time pressure feedback allow it to provide precise massage and dynamically adjust the intensity and rhythm,” an engineer said.

Taihe Information Technology, a business incubated by NUS (Suzhou) Research Institute (NUSRI), brought its AI wine taster which is capable of rapid analysis and judgment of the flavor and origin of grape wine.

Other exhibits such as KoolLogix’s solution for heat management and JM Vistec’s machine vision technology also attracted lots of people.
