A conference plus roadshow focused on integrated development of information technology (IT) and biotechnology (BT) was held at Dushu Lake ITBT Innovation Center in SIP on July 11, as part of the 2025 Suzhou Entrepreneurship Week for International Elites ? SIP.
Sponsored by Suzhou International Science Park (SISPARK), the event was aimed at promoting innovative integration of digital technology and biomedical industry, and attracting more talents and projects to SIP.


At the event, three IT&BT projects were introduced. Relaying on SIP’s excellent industrial foundations, these projects are expected to progress quickly to realize technology commercialization and help propel upgrading in IT and BT integration in SIP.

Seven IT&BT-focused startup projects from around the globe, such as those aimed at developing AI-powered drug discovery and diagnosis and treatment platforms, were presented to a number of experts and investors.

Pan Tingrui, chair professor and doctoral supervisor of the University of Science and Technology of China, gave the participants a talk on breakthrough applications of AI and chip technologies in the medical field, and the role of cutting-edge technology, innovation ecosystem and talent system in starting and running a hard tech-based startup.
A data scientist from a company that ranks among the world’s top 10 multinational pharmaceutical companies gave the participants an account of potentials of applying AI in clinical research and related challenges such as those in data quality, privacy security and cross-institutional collaboration.
The event also included a roundtable where the guests exchanged opinions on AI-driven medical innovation and collaboration with industrial ecosystem.
