Linquan Community in SIP’s Xietang Sub-district recently offered international students living in the community a chance to experience culture related to the Chinese Spring Festival which, also known as Chinese New Year, will fall on Feb 17.

A number of Chinese and foreign students enhanced friendship through the event by making dumplings and festival decorations such as traditionally printed Chinese character “Fu” (meaning happiness and luck) on red paper and paper-cuts together.

The community prepared the tools and materials for the DIY activities, and interpreters and volunteers provided thoughtful services on site.
