Hundreds of companies in SIP maintained production during the Spring Festival holiday, aiming to secure a strong start for the first quarter of this year.

“Due to the robust market demand and increasing orders, we decided to keep our production lines running during this holiday. Over 75% of the employees voluntarily chose to stay at their posts to ensure the timely delivery of products,” said an executive at TF-AMD. The company offered the employees incentives including overtime pay, red envelopes and holiday meals.

Similarly, AU Optronics (AUO)’s Suzhou branch offered free Chinese New Year’s Eve dinner, bonuses and special gift packages to about 4,800 employees staying put.

Innovent Biologics, a world-class biopharmaceutical company based in SIP, also offered a fancy Chinese New Year’s Eve dinner to its employees, plus various snacks and a lucky draw.

ADATA (Suzhou) rewarded about 200 employees with bonuses, free meals, gifts, and a movie outing.
