Twelve dancers from Suzhou Ballet Theatre (SBT) gave an amazing performance on the main stage of the 2026 Spring Festival Gala of China Central Television (CCTV) on Feb 16, making their second appearance on the annual celebration on the eve of the Chinese New Year.

        The dancers shared the stage with the China Philharmonic Orchestra and the Homies street dance troupe in the performance, engaging in a dynamic “dialogue” between classical and modern performing arts—where graceful pointe work met lively urban moves, creating a natural interplay between Eastern and Western physical aesthetics.

Last year, SBT gained national recognition when its art director Tan Yuanyuan led a performance at the Beijing venue of the CCTV Spring Festival Gala, while 24 dancers captivated audiences at the Wuhan sub-venue.
