On the evening of Feb 16, a stunning light show around Jinji Lake in SIP was featured on China Global Television Network (CGTN)’s “Super Night”, a special program that the China Central Television (CCTV) division produced to celebrate the Spring Festival (or Chinese New Year) with global audiences.

The light show, complemented by red lanterns and Chinese knots, presented a brilliant and harmonious picture. Main roads like Suzhou Avenue, Xiandai Avenue and Xinghu Street were interwoven with beautiful lights, creating a warm and prosperous festival atmosphere.

Before this, SIP had been frequently featured in CGTN’s programs. The footages of Jinji Lake at dawn and dusk in the “Suzhou: Global City from Ancient Roots” series, which showcase Suzhou’s charm from different perspectives, have deeply impressed the audiences. CGTN’s live roundtable titled “Young Voices – Why We Choose Suzhou” was also held at the viewing terrace of Jinji Station 06 near Jinji Lake.
